Mr. Roulston's play, entitled "The Shortest Distance Between Two Points" will be presented on the evenings of August 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19. Other plays included in this summer's festival are "The Blood is Strong" by Lister' Sinclair, "A Summer Burning" by Htarry J., Boyle, and, during Blyth Centennial week, "The Blyth Memorial History Show", by company member Jim Schaefer.. These funds are directed to the continuing reserach of Dr. Harth, at the University of Western Ontario, in London. Dr. Harth is currently studying the effect of "Gold Salts" in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis patients. staged by the Victoria Playhouse Company between July 12 and. 23. Further information about this. year's Blyth Summer Festival can be obtained from -Brenda Donner at 523.9455 before June J.' and at. 523-9300 after June 1.. The program itself, which was the brain-child of society volunteer CAtherine McKeen of Owen Sound, uses, talented performers from the entire CKNX viewing area. The announcers at CKNX get caught up in the spirit and excitement of it all, and join in the singing, dancing and challenges that help to keep the pledges rolling in.
