Mrs. Graeme Craig thanked him and presented a gift. The devotions were in charge of the 17th and Boundry Unit with Mrs. Martin Baan openine with a reading. M rs, Neil McGavin was pianist for singing of hymn, `In Christ there is no East or West" Mrs. G. Craig read the scripture from Act 8: 26-40. Mrs. Cliff Ritchie led in prayer, Mrs. Baan followed with a short reading. Offering was' received and dedicated. Mrs. Don McDonald, Vice President presided for the business. Song of Joy was sung. Minutes were read by Mrs. Herb Traviss, and read several thank 'you cards. Rev. Robert Roberts, Egmond- \tulle will be guest speaker at the Anniversary Service in September, A congregational picnic for June was discussed. The order, of 50 calendars has been• sent. Flowers to be put in the church, May Walton Unit; June,8th & 16th Unit; July and August - McKillop unit;'September 17th &• Boundary. The ham supper, Tuesday, June 7th was given out by the 8th & 16th unit. It was voted to give a donation for Irene Konarske, exchange student in Cross Roads this summer in West India, to help towards her room and board. Pe'rsonals Mr. and Mrs. Campbell Wey attended the Spring convocation of Victoria Univeristy and Emmanuel College graduation in Toronto one day laSt week when the Honorary degree; Doctor of Divinity was conferred on Rev. T.L, Tucker, United Church Missionary inZlambia. They later visited with a cousin Vera Gardiner. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Perrie, Mrs. Couper to speak in Blyth There is to be a full executive meeting, plus Auxiliary President, Christian Development Heads and any interested member' at the United Church, Blyth, on May 24th at 7 P.M. Mrs. Moira E. Couper, Bayfield, facilitator f6r personal family and community growth in the conference is the speaker. Cranbrook visited on' Mother's Day with Mr. and. Mrs. David Perrie. Mr. and Mrs, Allan McCall attended the christening of their grandson, Christopher Allan Stevenson, Sunday morning at Cranbrook Presbyterian Church. Later they returned to Mr. .and Mrs. Tom Stevenson's) for lunch. Saturday visitors with Mrs. Jean. Broadfoot were: Mr. and Mrs. Steven Kerley and Mrs. Margaret Fieldhouse of Toronto. On Sunday Mrs. Fern Patterson and her daughter, Mrs. Barbara Cardiff of Petrolia visited at the same ,home. Mrs. Maud Leeming and Mr. William. Bennett were Friday evening supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce. Clark and family. Mr. an'd Mrs. Rob. HarriS of TorOnto spent the weekend at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Watson. Mrs. • Edna Hackwell accompanied Mr. and Mrs. John Mcllwain and family of Seaforth to London on Sunday afternoon where they celebrated Mother's Day dining out with Mrs. Hackwell's other daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith and family. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh ,Johnston and Mrs. Joyce Colyer attended the christening on Sunday of Nancy Lynn, daughter of Mt:. and Mrs. Allan Johnston at Olivet United Church, Kitchener. Mrs. Jean Miller, Walton and Mrs. Mayme Turvey, Brussels spent Mother's Day with Mr. and Mrs, Bill McTaggart in Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huether , Steven and John attended Varna United Church Sunday morning when Mark Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs.. Mack Webster was christened during the service. The families were later guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wat Webster in Clinton.
