Seaforth Library.
Jack Kyle, a University of
Guelph graduate, and the Master
Feeds representative for Huron-
Perth, gave a very informative
clinic on "Nutrition and Your
Horse." He opened his presenta-
tion by explaining the horse's
digestive system, and followed
with feeding considerations,
nutrients a horse requires, the
rations of feed they need and how
internal parasites hamper a feed-
ing program.
In the business portion of the
meeting, the club decided on an
insurance policy, on purchasing a
Speaker system for announcing at

Drive with
conditions
The faster you travel, the
greater limitations are placed on
our ability to scan and see ahead
and to the sides. Thus an accident
producing situation could develop
before you're aware of it.
Considering the risks involved,
states the Ontario safety League,
the time you may save by driving
at a speed that's too fast for
conditions is never worth it.
Early Canadian Architecture
Craigflower Manor House on
the 'little hill overlooking Gorge
Waterway in Victoria, British
Columbia, is one of the finest
specimens of early domestic
architecture in North America.
It was built in 1856, almost
'entirely of native materials -
lumber from local trees, bricks
from local clay, ironwork
fashioned by the local blacksmith.
Originally, the Manor was
intended as a fortress as well as a
home.
The heavy oak door was
reinforced with iron studs, and
the massive wooden shutters
built into the walls were ready to
slide into place in case of attack.
The attack never came, as the
local Indians were friendly.
