Jack Kyle, a University of Guelph graduate, and the Master Feeds representative for Huron- Perth, gave a very informative clinic on "Nutrition and Your Horse." He opened his presenta- tion by explaining the horse's digestive system, and followed with feeding considerations, nutrients a horse requires, the rations of feed they need and how internal parasites hamper a feed- ing program. Early Canadian Architecture Craigflower Manor House on the 'little hill overlooking Gorge Waterway in Victoria, British Columbia, is one of the finest specimens of early domestic architecture in North America. It was built in 1856, almost 'entirely of native materials - lumber from local trees, bricks from local clay, ironwork fashioned by the local blacksmith. Originally, the Manor was intended as a fortress as well as a home. The heavy oak door was reinforced with iron studs, and the massive wooden shutters built into the walls were ready to slide into place in case of attack. The attack never came, as the local Indians were friendly.
