HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Brussels Post, 1977-04-27, Page 5THe BRusms POST, APRIL 27, 1977 Charge two in truck theft During the week April 11-17, officers at Wingham Detachment of the O.P.P. conducted thirty-six investigations, Eight charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and twenty-four warnings were issued. Three charges were laid under the Liquor Licence Act. Six charges were laid under the Criminal Code. On April 13, a tow truck was stolen from Martin's Garage, Fordwich, and a car stolen from Peter. Greenley, Howick Township. Both were recovered and Donald Kernaghan, age 19 of Wingham and James Thompson, age 22 of Teeswater have been charged regarding these thefts. Provincial Constables Ken Baizer and John Vessey handled the investigation. During the week, there were four motor vehicle accidents which caused an estimated $6,600. in property damage and minor injuries to two persons. On Friday, April 15, John G. Leece of Brussels was involved in a single car .accident on County road 16, east of County Road 12, Grey Township. Marie R. Leece, J.E.
