The troubled tidiesin Uganda have been deeply. impressed on
the Minds of sonie of Brussels and
community residents in a
personal way. Rev. Sam Obol was
the guest preacher .at the Easter
Sunday service 'of St John's
Anglican Church. He was
accompanied by his wife and
three of their five children. Mr.
Obol is an Anglican priest in.
Northern Uganda and is now
completing his studies at Huron
College, London. When his wife
and three children joined him last
year, they, because of financial
problems, chose to leave the two
eldest children (9-12) with
Christian friends. Great
difficulties have since arisen in
Ugatida resulting in many deaths.
The whereabouts of their children
has 1-den- unknown since the
death of Archbishop Luwan. This
has caused the Obols great
anxiety. A search for the children
by others is-not enough for those
in charge of them would be afraid
to reveal their whereabouts in
case the enquirers were govern-
ment agents. The Obols are
planning to go to an African state
bordering their home country.
They have the air fare to their
destination but need financial aid
for an extensive search. An
appeal has been made to the
congregation of St. John's
Church, by the Church Wardens,
for help for the ObOls to field their
children.
