On March 18 Brenda
cCutcheon, Bonnie Richmond
and Susan Langlois left Seaf orth
ith a SDHS student trip to catch
plane from Niagara Falls, New
ork. Before leaving for Paris
renda and Susan got on the
wrong plane which was headed
or the Canary Islands. We
rrived at Paris airort at 10:30-
a.m, In Paris it was 4:30 p.m. and
it was 55*F.
After arriving at our motel we
went on a bus tour of the city. It
as really beautiful. One thing
vhich was really noticeable was
he magnificent sculptures. Also
he way the people drive in Paris
Is unbelievable.?
The next day we boarded a
ain for Nice which is on the
editerranean Sea. The trip on
he train showed us beautiful
cenes of mountains and.
ountryside. When we arrived in
ice a bus took us to our motel
hen the group went for dinner.
The next day we went for a bus
our to Grasse which is the capital
of the perfume industry. On the
ay to Grasse the bus stopped at
a little town in the mountains._
ere we had a tour of a candy
ctory where candy is made with

bus took us to Grasse where our
group saw how perfume is made.
On Tuesday everyone was up
bright and early ready to set out
for Monaco which is a small-
country about 40 km. from. Nice.
The road which our bus driver
chose was a road which Napoleon
had built. It took us about 6400 ft.
above sea level and the view was
fantastic.
When we arrived in Monaco
some of the students visited an
Oceanography museum. Then we
could walk around the city. We
saw the church where Princess
Grace was married.
Monaco is really nice. The
streets are very tiny - not big
enough for a car to drive down.
After doing a bit of shopping we
then went to the palace and
watched the changing of the
guard. On the way back to the bus
a few of us walked through a
park.
Then our bus took us to Monte
Carlo. Here we went to the
gambling casinos. Some of us
played the slot machines but no
one made a fortune.
When we left the city we
travelled on the famous grand
prix raceway although we didn't
The April meeting of the
Walton Area Sports Club was
held at the home of Mr, and Mrs.
Jack Neleinans. All former ball
coaches attended to discuss the
travel quite as fast. Just one more
stop on the way home and that
was at a castle. Of course the
castle was on top of a hill which
we had to climb up but it was
worth it. There were stores all up
the mountain.
Wednesday was a free day and
everyone took advantage of it and
went shopping.
On Thursday we took a trip to
iSt,Pauls which is a city which has
a wall built around it. On the way
to the town we stopped at Venice
which is a small town which h as
pottery shops all over. Saint
Paul's is a beautiful little town. It
is famous for its art.
On Friday Brenda and Susan
took a trip to Cannes which is the
yacht capital of the Riviera. It was
here that the girls went in the
Mediterranean up to their knees.
That night everyone left for Paris
on the night train.. •
The next morning we took the
subway to the Eiffel Tower and to
the artists' village. Then we left
Paris on a 707 Boeing Jet. We
made a stop over in Malaga,
Spain and then we headed home.
We arrived home about 2:30 in
the morning which was 8:30 in the
morning over in Paris - so
somewhere we lost 2 days sleep.
It was worth it.
