Mrs. Clara Veitch opened the meeting with a poem "Little roads to Happiness". All joined in singing the hymn "Father lead me day by day" with Mrs. Stewart Steiss at the piano. Mrs. Wilfred Strickler read Isaiah Ch. 40 verses 18-31 and Mrs. Veitch gave the meditation. Mrs Gordon Engel led in payer. A reading "The time to be glad" was given by Mrs. Mac Engel. The treasurer gave an encouraging financial report. Sunday School needs were discussed, the church cleaning .list brought up to date. als,o the groups for serving lunch. rs. Stewart Steiss was appointed -to the manse committee for, Monkton. It was decided in favor of the ,usual pot luck dinner at the annual congregational meeting if desired. Mrs. Stuart Stevenson was secretary and Mrs. Leslie Knight chairman for the election of officers. The following are the officers elected: President - Mrs. Stewart Steiss; Vice-Pres. - Mrs. Stanley Fischer; Treasurer - Mrs. Jack Knight; Secretary - Mrs. Stuart Stevenson; Pianist - Mrs. Leslie Knight; Audtiors - Mrs. Stuart McNair and Mrs. Glenn Huether. The meeting closed with the hymn "Standing at the Portal" and the Lord's Prayer in unison. Lunch was served by Mrs. Wilfred Strickler and the hostess. Personals Mrs. West 'McE achern was taken by ambulance to Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday.: Mr. - and Mrs. Winston McEAchern, Cambridge (Galt) visited on the weekend with Mr. Wes McEachern and with Mrs. McEachern in ListOwel Hospital. The annual Congregational meeting of Knox Presbyterian Church will be held on Wednesday, February 2. It will begin with a potluck dinner at 12:30 noon. Mrs. Wes McEachern came home on Thursday from Listowel Memorial Hospital. Winston Eachern, Cambridge (Galt) visi ed on the weekend with his pa ents. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Huether and girls, Cambridge (Galt) visited Mrs. Glenn Huether on Saturday. Mr, and Mrs. "Bill Henry, Goderich, visited oil Sunday with Mrs. Stuart McNair. Miss Linda .
