Hullett Happenings
BY ANN MORTON
This week students were very
enthusiastic on all days, excluding
Monday (of course), due to our
much-appreciated Professional
Development Day on Wednesday.
Last Thursday Kindergarten B
class had the chance to befriend
grade eight students during a
family studies class concerning
babysitting. Each grade eight
pupil was given the responsibility
to care for the younger child. Our
objective was to teach the kinder
garten student as much about
nutrition as possible, in the alotted
amount of time, in using games,
puzzles and cooking. A fun,
learning experience was enjoyed
by all!
you sport minded adults interested
in joining an adult volleyball
league. An organization meeting is
being held Thursday, Dec. 11 from
8:30 - 9:30 p.m. at Grey Central
School to select teams and design a
schedule. If you would like to look
into this exciting opportunity come
on out or contact the school at •
887-6601 or give Nancy Vanass a
call at 887-6296. Hope you can
attend!
Junior students play ball
Once again it’s the captain ball
season at Hullett.
Grades four through six have the
pleasure of playing this exciting
game. Every noon hour two teams
battle it out to see who’s best.
Grade seven students referee the
games. The referees are Cathy
Nesbitt, Cristy Bricker, Kim Sal-
verda, Jennifer Nott, Robb Finch
and Melanie Knox.
PARENT-TEACHER
INTERVIEWS
The past Wednesday was an
enjoyable break for the students. It
was parent, teacher interviews,
dealing with the report cards from
last week.
BOOKSALE
The school book sale was on
November 28th, and December 1st
and second. The pupils had the
choice of buying many different
books.
BACK THE BITER DAYS
“Back the Biter Days’’ is the
main subject around Londesboro.
Some students participated in the
talent show while others attended
the activities. The fundraising
activities are sponsored by the
Londesboro Lions Club. Hopefully
they will succeed in their goal of
raising $30,000 to buy a fully-
equipped van for Ron Nesbitt.
MAGAZINE SALES
Once again this year, Hullett
School will be selling magazines to
raise money. The class selling the
most magazines will enjoy a 20 foot
eavestrough sundae!
