collects bids on this gingerbread house from The Golden Lantern in Brussels as part of the Back The Biter
auction in Londesboro on Saturday.
To the winners go the spoils and after bidding $35 for the top box lunch at the “Back The Biter” day it was
time to enjoy the spoils, in this case a beautifully arranged lunch complete with refreshments.

A “Vanorama of Fashion” was one of the highlights of the weekend
events, with the well-crafted show playing to a packed house Friday
night. One of the models, above, shows off a fake fur in the production
“Vanorama Dazzle.” The show, which was sponsored by the
Londesboro Women’s Institute and convened by Margaret Anderson,
Edith Taylor, Mary Divok and Lynda Horbanuik, raised $1,700 for the
fund.
A major presentation from the Londesboro Lions Clubs’ “Back the
Biter” Day came in early last Saturday when the Blyth Legion
presented a cheque for $1,000 to the fund. Above, [from left] Donna
Govier, treasurer of the Legion, Bill Vincent, Legion president, and
Dave Overboe, fund-raising chairman of the Londesboro Lions Club,
gather around Lion Ron Nesbitt, known to his friends as “The Biter”.
