Michiessurprises
A surprise 10th wedding anni
versary party for Mr. and Mrs.
George Michie was held in Luck
now Saturday evening, hosted by
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Bradley and
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Anderson.
Thirty family members and
friends enjoyed a delicious roast
beef dinner at the Mayfair Restau- *
rant. After the dinner everyone
was invited to the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Bradley for an evening of
games and visiting.

Ninetables wereinplay atthe
weekly euchre which was held in
the Women’s Institute Hall, Bel
grave, Wednesday, October 29.
Winners were: high lady, Mrs.
Stanley Black; novelty lady, Mrs.
Olive Bolt; low lady, Mrs. Bert
Johnston; high man, George John
ston; novelty man, Harold Vincent;

Mrs. Florence McArter and
Miss Annie Cook spent a couple
days with their sister and brother-
in-law Mr. and Mrs. James Paton
of Mossley.
The Belgrave Library will be
openon Friday, November 7 for
this week only. All books must be
returned by then for exchange the
following week.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Trewar
tha of London spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. James Leish-
man.
Mr. Douglas Bieman of Kincar
dine visited on the weekend with
his mother Mrs. Agnes Bieman.

sought
for Lodge
Morning Star Rebekah Lodge
held its regular meeting in the
Brussels, Morris and Grey Arena
Lounge.
The Noble Grand, Mary Nichol
conducted the meeting with all
officers and a good number of
members present. The charter was
draped in memory of the late Inez
Cameron. Letters were received
from Wingham Day Care Centre
for the Homebound and from the
Assembly re a trip to Barcelona.
Some thankyou cards were also
received. It was reported Mrs.
Mary Cameron had donated a
walker to be used by Humanitarian
Services along with other equip
ent that is loaned free of charge to
those in need of this equipment.
The treasurer gave a very
favourable report on the Variety
Fair - all unsold items of clothing
were picked up by Mission and
Services London to be used in their
work in London. It was decided to
book a date for the Valentine
Dessert Euchre. The Nov. 11 and
25th meetings are to be held in the
Arena Lounge. The next joint
euchre with the Oddfellows will be
held in Library, Nov. 3, 8 p.m. -
plans were completed for this. The
Secretary is to send several thank
you notesfor acts of kindness to
lodge. A short discussion was held
re - the new location for the Lodge
Hall. Nothing has been finalized as
yet.
