After the many different casser­ oles were enjoyed along with a lettuce salad and tea biscuits and a cup a tea, euchre was held upstairs. There were eight tables of euchre in play. Prize winners were: high lady, Rachel Riehl, of Sea­ forth; low, Annie Reid; high man, Bill McLennan, Ethel; low, Viola Kirkby (playing as a man). There were three with the same number of lone hands: Mary Humphries, Doreen Hackwell and Jim Smith, all received a decorated pumpkin donated by Ruth Axt- mann. Most zeros on card was won by "God forgave " is Duff's sermon Sarah Stephenson in a cut with Anne Smith, both of Brussels. The next euchre is planned for November 27. There will be no euchre in December. A euchre will be held each month in the New Year till May. Everyone is welcome at 8 p.m. People around Walton Recent weekend guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huetherwere Mr. and Mrs. Howard Beane of Barrie. John Huether of Guelph was home with his parents this past week. Mrs. Nelson Reid attended the wedding of Kim Marhan and Brian Mathews in Sarnia on Saturday, returning home on Sunday. Sunday morning greeters at Duff’s United were Ron and Betty McCallum. Ushers for November are Allan Searle, Ian Wilbee and Laverne McClure. Organist was Margery Huether. The U.C.W. executive meeting is set for Thursday, November 6 at 1 p.m. at the home of Marilyn McDonald. The Turkey supper is Wednesday, November 5 at the church. Steven Webb, Rockton will be in charge of the regular morning service in Knox Presbyterian Church next Sunday. Quite a number from Cranbrook attended the Anniversary Services in Monkton Presbyterian Church on October 26 and the fowl supper on October 28. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Burdett and baby Brent Gordon, Waterloo, visited Mrs. Mac Engel on Sunday, Oct. 26. Mrs. Clare Veitch and Mrs. Donald Perrie attended the Guelph Area Con vention ofthe W.I. heldat Maryhill recently. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Steele, Stratford visited Mr. andMrs. Leslie Knight. Members of the Cranbrook W.M.S. attending the Fall Rally ofStratford-Huron Presbyterial in Avonton on Oct. 29 were Mrs. Clare Veitch, Mrs. Stuart Steven­ son, Mrs. Leslie Knight and Mrs. Donald Perrie. Jim Hart was moved from London’s Victoria Hospital to the Listowel Memorial Hospital on October 29. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson visited with members of their Dateline family in Toronto on the weekend. The Foresters are sponsoring a family dance in the Community Centre on Friday evening, Nov. 7at 9 p.m. with music by Tiffin’s Orchestra. The Walton Pee Wee Boys Ball team that won the Tri County Championship recently were en­ tertained on Sunday afternoon by their coaches Bruce and Pam Clark and assistant coach George Love. The afternoon started off with bowling at Seaforth then returning to the home of Ken McIlwain where they were treated to a pizza supper. The ball team players for the season were Steve Fritz, Ron Stevenson, MannyTaylor, Paul McIlwain, Tim Nolan, Brad Taylor, Brian Love, Pat Knight, Brent Evans, Brian Williamson and Jim Shortreed.
