Seven schools took part. Continued from page 18 Brussels failed to capitalize on any further chances to score in the last half of the period and the game ended 7 - 5 in Thamesford’s favour. Sunday afternoon had the Bulls at home to the Mitchell Hawks. The visitors opened the scoring getting the first two goals of the game. With only 57 seconds remaining in the period Mike Chapman and Mike Vincent combined to put Brussels on the scoreboard. Brussels came back in the second period to dominate the play. Mike Vincent, Mike Chap­ man and Brian Campbell, got credit for the first goal. Half-way through the period Kevin McArter assisted by Blake Flett and Kevin Lee scored the second goal. The third goal was scored by Rob Cardiff assisted by Kevin McArter and Tim Fritz, to give Brussels a 4 - 2 lead at the end of the second period. Period three had equal oppor­ tunities for both teams but the goalies came up with numerous saves. Brussels scored the only goal of the period with Mike Chapman assisted by Doug Hard­ ing and Mike Vincent getting the points and the team claiming a 5 - 2 victory. The team will be at home for two games this weekend. Escape the ghosts and goblins on Friday night and watch the Juniors play the visiting Belmont team at 9 p.m. Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. the Seaforth Centennaires will be in town for their second visit of the season. Mark November 22 on your calendar for a Meet the Player Night with a dance at the Brussels Legion Hall. Brussels euchre Nine tables were in play at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Euchre Mon­ day night at the library. Those taking home the prizes were: high, Margurite Sanderson and John Simpson; and low, Mrs. Marjorie Ritchie and Ross Nichol. A draw for a set of mugs was won by Elinud McNair. The next euchre is to be held November 3, same place, same time. The proposed Official Plan Amendment would change the designation on Lot 19, Concession 4, Part Lot 18, Concession 3 and Part Lot 19, Concession 3, from “Agriculture” and ‘ ‘Greenbelt” to “ Recreational”; the subject property Is 450 acres. The applicant wishes to establish a recreational complex including aXodge for dining and accommodation, in addition tothreeareas for cabins. Thedevelopmentof trails for recreational use is also proposed. A “Restricted Agriculture’’ designation of 2000’ around the subject property would be established. The subject area is shown on the attached map. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment.
