McKillop council awards snow-removal contract
Another sign of the coming
winter was evident at the October
meeting of McKillop township
council Oct. 7 when council
awarded the contract for winter
snow-removal.
The tender of Machan Construc
tion Ltd. for snow-removal at a rate
of $37.50 per hour plus $18 per day
standby was accepted by council.

March 31.
In other business, since no
appeals were received, court of
revision on the Canada Company
Drain was dispensed with. The
contract for the open portion of the
drain was awarded to McKenzie

Four Huron Federation of Agri
culture directors have volunteered
to serve on a county committee to
provide input into a review of the
Canada/Ontario Crop Insurance
Program, as proposed at the
HFA’s annual meeting in Brussels
October 9.
John Van Beers of RR 1, Blyth,
Helen Johnson of RR 1, Auburn,
Bob Harrison of RR 1, Monkton,
and Gerry Lobb of RR 2, Goderich
will all serve on the committee first
proposed at the annual meeting by
John Van Beers. Input will also be
invited from the various commo
dity groups within the county.

the HFA has passed a motion to
adopt a survey form written by Mr.
