Mr. Jack Webster has recently returned to Edmonton, Alta, after visiting relatives and friends in Lucknow, Clinton and Walton areas. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Achilles of Hearst visited over the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roily Achilles. Blaine Marks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Marks participated in the Fiddlers Jamboree on Sunday afternoon at the Seaforth Com­ munity centre. It was sponsored by the Van Egmond Foundation. Clint and Judy Emmrich, Jamie and Katie, RuthThamer and Aaron Jantzi were supper guests with Evelyn Holt Sunday evening. McClure; Daniel Paul, son of Paul and Laura Forbes; Denise Renee, daughter of Bob and Janice Carnochan; and Ashley Monica, daughter of Rainer and Linda Saur. Rev. Bonnie Lamble was assisted by Graeme Craig. Greeters were Fred and Heidi McClure; organist was Margery Huether. Ushers were Lavern Godkin, BillCouttsandGraeme Craig. Announcements given out in­ cluded Youth Group meeting at Bluevale, Thursday, Oct. 30; Junior Choir Practice; Walton board meeting next Sunday even­ ing at Mr. and Mrs. Ken McDon­ ald; Friday, Oct. 31, Tea and Bazaar at Bluevale United Church; Turkey supper at Duff’s United, Nov. 5; Community Remembrance Day Service at Duff’s Tuesday, November 11. I ranbrook I Mrs. Mac EngelI 887-6645 People around Cranbrook Mr. and Mrs. Don Cotton visited Mr. and Mrs. Angus Starr at Alliston on Sunday, Oct. 19. Mrs. Bill Armstrong, Fergus, and Mrs. Ken Bray, Brussels, attended the anniversary service and visited with Mrs. Mac Engel. Misses Sharon, Tracy and Susan Engel, London, also visited their grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Pegelo and Mrs. B. Young, Fergus, were Sunday visitors with Allan and Mrs. Fretz. The Foresters held their regular monthly meeting on Oct. 14 in the Community Centre with 14 mem­ bers present. Plans were made for thefamilydanceonNovember 7 and they are starting their card parties on Nov. 28. Brother Wilfred Strickler received his past presi­ dent’s pin. Sister Beryl Smith won the 50-50 draw. The next meeting will be the annual banquet on November 11. The meeting ended withadeliciouslunch served by Sisters Mary Hanna, Mary Ellen Jacklin, and Brothers Harry Jack- lin and Mac McIntosh. Mr. and Mrs. Allan McTaggart, Goderich and Alfred Knight, Brussels, visited with Leslie and Mrs. Knight following the special service. Later they accompanied Yvonne to visit with Rick who is attending Waterloo University. Mrs. Leslie Knight was in Cambridge a couple of days attending an Insurance Course. Wl plans euchre The Walton Women’s Institute plan a Casserole Lunch at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 to open their euchres for the fall and winter season. Everyone is welcome. Cran brook church holds anniversary Rev. Byron Nevin of Atwood was guest minister for the anniversary service in Knox Presbyterian Church on Sunday, October 19. Two solos were contributed by Peter Dekker of Listowel. The regular morning service will not be held on Sunday, October 26, owing to Monkton’s anniversary service. Rev. Jas.
