Euchre parties are starting again. The first one will be held in Auburn Community Hall on Tues­ day, October 14 at8 p.m. sharp. Everyone is welcome. Knox United Church will be having the Church’s Anniversary ServiceonOctober 19 with Rev. United holds Rick Hawley as speaker. Rick was a former minister of Knox Church. Thanksgiving Service will be held at Knox United Church on October 12 at 11:15 a.m. Unit I will be having their meeting on Tuesday, October 14 at 8 p.m. Irene Millian will demon­ strate wreath making. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Ross Robinson on the death of his brother last week. communion Rev. Dave Snihur officiated in Londesboro United Church Sept­ ember 13, 1986 for the wedding of Benjamin Munnings of Clinton and Carol Cartwright, also of Clinton. The groom is the son of Wilfred and Hilda Munnings of Clinton and the bride, the daughter of Howard and Marjorie Cartwright RR 1, Londesboro. Maid of honour was Ruth Munnings, sister of the groom, from Clinton. Bridesmaids were Ruthanne Russell, Clinton, friend of the bride and Mrs. Lisa Cartwright, RR 1, Londesboro, sister-in-law of the bride. Flower girl was Annette Davi­ son, RR 2, Clinton, friend of the bridal couple. Groomsman was Tim Lowey, Blyth Beavers get help The Blyth Beavers are off to a good start with a busy and productive year lined up. Their meetings will be made easier and more fun by the fact that they now have a Beaver Box in which to store all of their equip­ ment between meetings. Thanks is extended by the Beavers to all of those who made a contribution to the Box. These include Radford’s Auto Supplies, Gore’s Home Hard­ ware, Robbie Lawrie Decorating and Paul Josling Construction. No.4 357-1730 The minister Gary Shuttleworth conducted the Sundary morning Holy Communion Service at Knox United Church. The organ prelude was by Mrs. Gordon Gross and the pianist was Lori Millian. Life and Work of the Church and prayers were given. Rev. Pickell of Goderich read the Scripture. The senior choir sang, “In Remembrance’’ with the choir director Lori Millian as pianist. There was a “Time for Children’’ and they went to Sunday School rooms with teachers Margaret Bakker, Tammy Shuttleworth and Shelley Worsell and other helpers. The minister chose for his Former residents honoured by friends Mr. and Mrs. William Seers entertained at their home on Saturday evening in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Orval McPhee who have recently moved to their new home in Goderich. Many friends, rela­ tives, and neighbours were in attendance. Bernice Anderson showed slides of the recent trip she and her husband had taken to the Orkney Islands, Scotland and England. Bill Seers also showed slides of the trip he and Maxine had taken to Greece. Gifts werepresentedto the honoured couple and a deli­ cious lunch was served by Bill and Maxine Seers, Mrs. Beth Lansing, Mrs. W. L. Craig and Miss Betty Marsh.
