Weekly Bible Study group holds first meeting in Blyth This Fall’s weekly Bible study groups are again off to a good start. Two of these groups use the facilities which the United Church building provides. One is a study and prayer group which has met on Tuesdays from 9:30to 11 a.m.for 12years or more, attracting ladies from several of Blyth’s denominational churches. The other study group, nondenom- inational also, began two years ago and is growing. It meets on Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. - 11:30 and includes a Coffee Break. A third Bible study group, one hour in length, meets on Wednes- Brussels 14-H dub holds second meeting The second meetingof Brussels I was held at the home of Kathy Bridge at 7 p.m. on September 24. Members opened the meeting with the 4H pledge and followed with the roll call. Cheryl Bridge read the minutes of the last meeting. The girls proceeded to read through meeting #2 in their books, while Chris Bridge, Tammy Rose, Sandy Orth and Tracey McWhirter went to the kitchen to prepare creamy pasta and cocoa. The girls filled in the blanks for meeting #2 in their books. Every one tried the creamy pasta and the cocoa. day mornings, at 10 a.m., in the home of Russell and Marion Cook, Morris Street south. On arriving, members gather around the table toenjoyfellowshipover a cup of coffee before opening their Bibles for study. Last week their interest focussed on a passage from the book of Colossians. Marion Cook said they were very pleased with the first turnout of the season, but there is ample room and a big welcome for more ladies and men in their home. Knowledge of the Bible is not required in these groups, neither is church attendance, but the Book, itself, is. There are no age restrictions. One finds that study and discussion arising from them become a refreshing and whole some experience when younger adults study along side older ones. These study groups offer a choice of morning time and place. All are invited to drop in to visit one or all three. The only requisite is one’s Bible.
