HUTTON REALESTATE Clinton phone rates increase Basic monthly rates will go up in the Clinton exchange on November 1. Janet Chisholm, local Bell Canada manager said recently. Mrs. Chisholm said phone growth in the Clinton local calling area has pushed the phone-num­ ber total above the highesttotal allowed for present rates. Basic rates are tied directly to local calling area phone-number totals. A local calling area includes all exchanges the customer can reach via a local call. Private line residence service will1 increase by 30 cents to a monthly total of $7.40 and two- party service will increase by 10 cents to $5.60 a month. A business individual line will go up by $3, to $22 a month. This increase, known as up- grouping, is authorized by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commis­ sion, Bell’s federal regulatory agency.
