Melville Church scene of wedding Melville Presbyterian Church was the setting September 6, 1986 for the wedding of William Kevin Bishop, RR 2, Listowel to Jacque line Colleen Robertson, RR 2, Bluevale. The groom is the son of Clarence and Rose Marie Bishop. RR 1, Ethel and the bride is the daughter of William and Colleen Robertson, RR 2, Bluevale. Maid of honour was Karen Swinging Seniors elect officers The Blyth Swinging Seniors met on Wednesday, September 24 at 12 noon in the Memorial Hail with an attendance of 41. All enjoyed a pot luck dinner after which there was a lively sing-song with Rena Watt at the piano. President John Hesselwood pre sided over a short business meeting when the slate of officers for 1986-87 was elected as follows: President, John Hesselwood; Vice President, Harvey McDowell; Se cretary, Feme McDowell; Trea surer, Nora Kelly; Assistant Trea surer, Ida Procter; Pianist, Ruby Philp; Assistant Pianists, Rena Watt and Ella Richmond; Card Convenor, Mollie Grant; Program Committee, Vera Hesselwood, Lloyd Walden, Janet Lawrie and Vera Badley; Lunch Committee, Feme Howatt, Evelyn Smith, Mary Holland, Mary Walden, Effie McCall and Gene Snell; New 4-H dub for BY JANICE HEISE On September 22, nine mem bers met for the first “Milk Makes It’’ meeting at Bonnie Johnston’s. Members got off to a good start with the 4-H pledge and the election of Julie Smuck for presi- Representative on the Recreation Committee, Vera Badley. Other items of business were - they will sponsor the birthday party at Huronview on December 3, 1986; The Eleventh Zone Rally will be Thursday, October 16 in Dungannon - registration beginn ing at 12 noon; there will be a fall colour tour on October 6 to the Flesherton Markdale area and anyone interested should contact Dorothy Daer; the Geritol Follies are December 11, if interested contact Vera Hesselwood by Octo ber 10. Nora Kelly gave the treasurer’s report. The December meeting will be held January 7, 1987 with a pot luck dinner. Following this business period all enjoyed the afternoon playing euchre, lost heir or scrabble. The October meeting will be held on the regular day, October 22. Bluevale dent. Ar Moran is secretary. It was dec .ded that we’d be the Bluevale III Cheesecakes and later we made Spicy Mexican Nachos. They were delicious and a great w7ay to end the meeting. McMichael of Wroxeter. Groomsman was Kevin Deitner of RR 1, Ethel and ushers were Mike Bishop, RR 1, Ethel and Bill Diehl of Monkton.
