BY KELLY COOK Blyth School opened on Septem­ ber 2. with a total of 191 students. The Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Buffinga, has 20 pupils this year. In Grade 1, Mrs. Battye has a total of 26 students. Mrs. Little has 28 pupils in her grade 2 class and 24 pupils have started in Mrs. Robert’s grade 3 class. Mrs. Charter has 26 students, in grade 4. Mrs. Hulley teaches20 students in grade 5 and Mr. Yeats has a total COMING EVENTS COME! JOIN US - WE HAVE A club for girls called Calvinettes. Bible study, craft, singing, out­ ings We have our own magazine “Touch” filled with stories, crafts and puzzles. Calvinettes is an international church sponsored by girls’ club organization that’s involved in building tomorrow’s leaders today. Its goal is to bring girls into a living relationship with Jesus Christ so that they will serve and love Him always. Our Principal, Mr. Black, is teaching both grade 7 and 8 this year, with a combined total of 28 students. Mr. Marsh teaches French in the morning to grades 3 - 8, and he has library classes for all grades in the afternoon. Mrs. Hoonard and Mrs. Cronin (both half-time) are our Special Education teachers this year. Mrs. Collins is back, one day a week, as COMING EVENTS HURON CHAPTER #89, ORDER of the Eastern Star, Wingham, annual dance will be held in the Teeswater-Culross Community Centre, Saturday, October 18, 1986. Music by: “The Tempta­ tions’’ $7 per person, Dancing 9-1. The Rev., Mr. Bauman spoke on the meaning of communion using the parables of the “Lost coin, the Lost sheep’’ and “The Prodigal Son.’’ Cheryl Cronin, Bodie Craig, Diane Wasson and Albert Wasson sang “Living for Jesus” accom­ panied by Susan Howson. The elders serving communion were: Fred Howson, David Web­ ster, Wm. Young, Bill Howson, Dr. Clark, Bodie Craig and Harvey McDowell. Greeters were David Webster and Dr. Clark. Flowers were in memory of Keith Hesselwood.
