Getting equipment to the show’s the job of Ray Hallahan They seem to appear each years as if magic, those hun­ dreds of tons of machinery that thrill crowds at the annual Thresher Reunion at Blyth. Yet anyone who looks at the size, anyone who watches the lumbering pace of the giants, anyone who looks at the huge craters the steel wheels leave in the earth, soon realizes these machines didn’t arrive here under their own power. For 23 reunions Ray Hal la- Ray Hallahan has been transporting equipment to the Thresher Reunion for more than 20 years. He looks forward to his own “reunion" with the owners of the equipment each year. han of RR 3, Blyth has been involved in getting the ma­ chines to the grounds. Ray runs his own construction company now and his big float truck is just the thing for moving the giants. But he started way back when he was 17 years of age with a borrowed truck.
