Results of Royal Conservatory exams announced Results of the Royal Conserva­ tory piano “practical” examina­ tions held at Blyth in June have been released. In Grade 8 piano, honours results were posted by Jennifer Chan, Heather Anne Bauman, Jacqui Steward and Linda Joanne Versteeg. Pass marks were obtain­ ed by Jennifer Ann Jewitt, Donna Jean Higgins, Ilene Gayle Poore and Robert Earl Adams. R. Anne Campbell received honours marks in grade 7 piano. Legion news Sister city visits BY EUGENE JANES P.R.O. On August 15 we welcomed visitors from our Sister City, Standish, Michigan. They came to participate in our annual Beef and Pork Barbeque and Dance on Saturday, August 16 and also the Corn Roast on Sunday, August 17. At the dance on Saturday evening a plaque was presentedfrom Post#104 to the Wingham Legion. On Sunday, at the Corn Roast, a plaque was presented to our branch from Post #104, Standish, Michigan, by the Post Commander, Bob Treichel. The Brussels Pipe Band partici­ pated in the Dungannon Fair Parade. TomMacFarlane’spic- ture was in the Lucknow Sentinel. Quite a surprise to be reading an out-of-town paper and see a local person’s picture. In grade 4 piano, Sarah Fulker received first class honours while honours marks were recorded by Alison Rose Jongejaji, Janine Louise Wideman, Stephanie Lentz and Heather Wheeler. Jennifer Murray received a pass mark. In grade 3 piano, Jason Erb had first class honours while Angela Cindy Yoon, Kari Davidson and Penny Ann Janet Clutton received honours. Caroline Steward, Christopher A. Houser and Angela Grace Verburg won first class honours in grade 2 piano. Honours marks went to Caroline Ruth Jongejan, Darrell Lavis, Brendan Thomas Magee, Karen Ann Zondervan, Matthew John Maaskant, Cheri Lynne Taylor and Rhonda Howatt. In grade 1 piano, first class honours went to Charlene Dykstra, Kerry Leigh Walden and Danny Gibbings. Receiving honours was Patrick Jay Reigling and Michael John Laffin received a pass mark. In grade 8 singing, Vicky Hackett received honours. In guitar results, Sherry Frances Dekker received honours in grade 3; Jamie C. R. Chisholm had a pass mark in Grade 2 and in grade 1, Noah Alexander Train received honours while Lisa Elizabeth Chapman received a pass mark. In grade six flute, Heidi Jennifer Hoernig and Sarah Elizabeth Hoernig both received first class honours.
