Mr. Elliott Lapp sang a solo “The Publican” accmpanied on piano by Lori Millian. There was time for children and they went to Sunday School rooms led by Glenyce Young, Leona Cunningham, Linda Durnin and Tammy Shuttleworth. People around Auburn Mr. and Mrs. Stan McNall of Welland and Mr. Wally Dank- wardt of Burford, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Young of Glencoe recently visited with Ellen John­ ston and Laura Phillips. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Arthur have returned from their cottage at Temiscaming, Quebec. Mrs. Bonnie Armour of Water­ loo visited with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jardin for the weekend. The Auburn Horticulture Soci­ ety meeting will be held Monday, September 8 at 8 p.m. at Commun­ ity Hall. Bring bouquets of flowers for display. David Cartwright will be showing slides of local interests, everyone welcome. Mrs. Harold Kitchen of Hamil­ ton visited friends in Auburn area on Wednesday. Knox United Church service on September 7 will be at 11:15 a.m., Sunday School will commence at 10 a.m., Sept. 7. Unit II of Knox United Church will meet Wednesday, September 10 at 8 p.m. in church basement. Bernice Anderson will show pic­ tures of their recent trip overseas.
