Wawanosh farmer dies WILLI AN VICTOR BLACK William Victor Black of Belgrave died in Wingham and District Hospital on August 30, 1986. He was 75 years of age. Mr. Black was born in Holm­ field, Manitoba, the son of Harvey Black and Lila Cook. He married the former Florence Nethery in 1942. The couple farmed in East Wawanosh until their retirement to Belgrave in 1977. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Margery (Mrs. Malcolm Lewis), London and Joan, (Mrs. Gordon Riley), Dungannon; three sons, Tom and his wife Connie, Keith and his wife Barb of RR 1, Belgrave, and Murray and his wife Merrilyn of Blyth; and nine grandchildren. One sister, Hilda, (Mrs. Leslie Vincent) of Belgrave and one brother, Stanley of RR 1, Belgrave also survive. The funeral was held from the McBurney Funeral Home, Wing­ ham at 2 p.m. on Sept. 2 with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Inter­ ment was in Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave. Serving as pallbearers were Harvey Black, Bryan Black, Eldon Cook, Clifford Coultes, Andy Nethery and Wayne Vincent. Flowerbearers were Dianne Nethery, Jodie Riley, Jennifer Black and Christina Black. Young Ethel woman dies MARION G. BRINK Marion G. Brink of Ethel died on Aug. 20 at University Hospital, London. She was 27. Miss Brink was born on April 7, 1959 in Toronto. She was the daughter of John and Helen (Tamminga) Brink of Ethel. Miss Brink was on the staff of The Listowel Banner where she was a darkroom technician for all papers published by Wenger Brothers Limited and had been with the firm for a total of seven years. There was an interval of one yearin which she attended Fan­ shawe College, London. Miss Brink was a member of Bethel Free Reformed Church in Munro. Surviving besides her parents are two brothers, John and his wife Margaret of Dundas and Paul and his wife Laurie of Ethel. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew. Visitation was held at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel on Friday. Funeral service was held on Aug. 23 at the Bethel Free ReformedChurch, Munro, near Mitchel. Rev. At their June meeting, board members approved a report on physical education, prepared by a committee headed by John Mann, principal of Turnberry Central Public School. The ieport looked at goals, teaching methods and safety pro- ceduresforGradeslto8. It also outlined lesson topics and lesson plans for all grades. As well, Mr. Mann’s report recommended the purchase of the Scarborough Board of Education curriculum packages on physical education, and proposed the idea of a resource teacher concept to introduce the program and assist teachers in its implementation. The Huron Board of Education may buy the program outright, or prepare its own curriculum based on material developed by the Scarborough board.
