Their first meeting this year in Blyth behind some strong hitting and good pitching romped to an easy victory, buton this occasion the Goderich Township boys came to play ball and saw an exciting game come to a conclusion at the end of five innings with Blyth winning 14 - 12. An excellent offensive and defensive ball was displayed by Craig Bauman who had an on base percentage of 1,000. Again due to vacation, the Blyth team was depleted badly and it became necessary to call on two of the Blyth squirt boys Michael McNichol and Jason Elliott in order to make sufficient players for the game.
