[ e/graue I cLr</ Mrs. H<Helen Stonehouse 887-9487 People around Belgrave Rev. and Mrs. Kenneth Innes and family of Winnipeg, Manitoba visited with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightman on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. James Little, Jason and Craig of Lintlaw, Sask, visited with their cousins Mrs. Agnes Bieman and George Inglis and other relatives for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnston attended the Johnston reunion on Sunday at the Hensail Park. About 75 relatives were present. Mr. and Mrs. Americo Arruda and Michelle of Fergus and Maria of Toronto visited with her mother Mrs. Dorothy Logan last week. Maria and Michelle are staying for a few days with their grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby accmpanied Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston, Tara and Erin on a three week motor vacation to the Western Provinces. They attended Expo in B.C. and the Calgary Stampede in Alberta. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Armstrong at Saskatoon, Sask, and Mrs. Florence Arm­ strong of Eston, Saskatchewan and returned home by the northern United States. Visiting at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Procter on Sunday were Mrs. Howard Zettler, Sherry, twins - Amanda and Alicia and MasterStevenof RR4, Walkerton; Mrs. Larry Mayberry, Marilyn and Kimberly of Londesboro; Marjorie Procter of London and Mrs. Ronald Hill and Robbie of RR 1, Tavistock. All attended the Yuill reunion in the W.I. Hall on Sunday. Mrs. Mary Warwick of Blyth spent the weekend with her sister Mrs. Laura Johnston and attended the Yuill reunion on Sunday. Pamela and Abby Lichtenberger of St. Thomas spent a week with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yuill. George Radford Construction in Blyth took delivery of a new Caterpillar loader last week, the company’s first new loader since 1977. The giant machine cost $292,000 and will allow the company to keep up with a hot demand for construction equipment, a company spokesman said. On hand for the arrival were [left to right] Doug Scrim geour, Dianne Wasson and Albert Wasson. Yuill reunion held at Belgrave hall The Yuill reunion was held in Belgrave Women’s Institute Hall, Sunday, July 27 with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McBurney in charge. Thirty-five attended from New York State, Michigan, London, St. Thomas, Tavistock, Walkerton, Goderich, Londesboro and sur­ rounding area. After a period of games, looking at an old photo album, family tree and reminiscing, all went into the hall for a bountiful lunch. Another reunion will be held in two years in the Belgrave Hall with Mrs. Beth Procter and her daughter Mrs. Larry Mayberry in charge. Joyce Van Vliet was one of those who met Mr. Munchie at a special hotdog day at the Brussels E.M. A. store on Friday and Saturday. Lawn bowlers hold tournament The Brussels Lawn Bowling Club held their local tournament for the ladies ’ J ack Y uill trophy and for the men’s Jim Mair trophy Thursday afternoon July 24. Bowling started at 4 p.m. and one game was played before a lovely pot luck supper followed by two games after supper. Mrs. Mary Yuill presented the Jack Yuill trophy to Doris Michie and Ida Evans who had three wins and 23; second was Marjorie Coultes and Freda Johnston; third, IsabelGibsonand Muriel Whit­ field; and fourth, Elinore Heming­ way and Mary Yuill. In the men’s section, Gerald Gibson and George Johnston won the Jim Mair trophy. Second was PatRowlandand Jack Bowman, third, JimCoultesand Jim Mair and Jim Bowman and George Inglis took the Consolation.
