There were several off-the-wall hairdo’s and a variety of punk fashions that made their way down the streets of Blyth. Children's Workshop presents show out laughs and wide eyes byA Real Terrific Show was recently presented to Blyth area residents by young children who were registered in the Children’s Theatre Workshop, and the pro- ductionsbroughtoutthebestin the children as they had the chance to hit the spotlight on stage. The shows, “Tammy’s No Way show’’, “The Haunted House in Blyth man dies KASIMIR STANLEY KUCHMISTRZ Kasimir Stanley Kuchmistrz of Blyth died July 17, 1986 in Clinton Public Hospital. He had been ill for about two months. Mr. Kuchmistrz was born in Poland 71 years ago and got his education there. He married the former Katherine Gal a who sur­ vives him. Also surviving are one daughter, Margaret of Kitchener and one son, John of London. Two Blyth”, “Silly Circus Clowns”, “Jenny’s Story”, “The Biggest Greatest Lunch Ever” and “The Girl Who Went Into the Forest”, were written, directed and acted by the children, and all plays brought everyone who attended. The showcase also brought out original Canadian art and talent and were co-ordinated with the Blyth Festival. Mr. Kuchmistrz was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Blyth and also of the Royal Canadian Legion, Blyth Branch. The funeral was held July 19, 1986 from St. Michael’s Church, Blyth with Rev. Father Hardy in charge. Interment was in St. Michael’sCemetery, Morris town­ ship. Serving as pallbearers were Dave Overboe, Ralph McCrea, William Vincent, Douglas Bell, Elliott Lapp and Stewart Ament. The Planning Act [1983] requires that municipalities provide the public with the opportunity through a special meeting of Council to comment upon the need for the revision of the Township Secondary Plan. This meeting is an opportunity for anyone with comments or suggested changes to make their thoughts known to Council. The proposed Official Plan Amendment seeks to carry out revisions to the Secondary Plan in 5 separate areas as follows: 1. Site Plan Control The proposed Official Plan Amendment would include policies pertaining to the useof site plan control. The areas to be subject to siteplan control will include: industrial; commercial; agricultural commercial; high density residential; mobile home parks; salvage yard; extractive industrial and certain institutional uses. Site Plan Control provisions will enable Council to pass by-laws which require the submission and approval of site plans by Council. 2. Community Improvement Policies The proposed Official Plan Amendment would establish Community Improvement Policies for the Township of East Wawanosh. Community Improvement seeks to reduce deficiencies in municipal, social, recreational and physical facilities and resources within the Township and provides criteria for achieving this objective. 3. Public Notice The proposed Official Plan Amendment reduces the length of time required for notice of a public meeting from 30days to 21 days for the purpose of a public meeting for a zoning amendment. 4. Hutton Heights The proposed amendment will designate a strip of land to the westof Hutton Heights as Residential, while including policies restricting the use of this land to Residential uses [although recognizing existing Institutional uses] and requiring development based on a plan of subdivision. The area to be designated residential is as shown on the map below. 5. Natural Environment The proposed amendment will designate additional areas of Natural Environment as shown on the map below. Additional policies will also be included allowing for the use of ‘non-sensitive’ natural environment for accessory farm residences; accessory agricultural commercial residences; the expansion of existing farm buildings and Institutional buildings required forthemaintenanceof the Natural Environment. In addition, subject to certain criteria existing vacant natural environment lots may be allowed a residence. These policies will apply to both existing areas designated Natural Environment and the areas which are proposed to be designated by this amendment. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed official plan amendment. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed official plan amendment is available for inspection at the Huron County Planning Department, Court House, Goderich, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and at the East Wawanosh Township Municipal Office west of Belgrave.
