50-lb. pigs to a high of $1.25; 50 to
60-lb. pigs to a high of $1.08; 60 to
70-lb. pigs to a high of $1.04 per lb.
corn is excellent, the winter barley
is being harvested in some areas,
the wheat looks good, the white
beans and soy beans are good.
There are some traces of weed
escapes in the beans, but generally
everything looks good.’’
Some farmers are doing their
second cut on the hay, and corn
heat units are up 100 units which is
ahead of normal for this time of
year.
Mr. Hall mentioned that he had
spoken to someone in the Iowa area
who reported that the corn there is
doing excellently.
