You may be tempted to speed things up by leaving machin ery running while working on it. Don’t do it! In trying to save a few seconds, you could put yourself out of commission permanently. Shut off the tractor and wait until ALL baler parts have stopped moving before making adjustments. “DO IT OUR WAY - IT WON’T HURT’ ’ This has been a message from the Farm Safety Association. The Planning Act [1983] requires that municipalities provide the public with the opportunity through a special meeting of Council to comment upon the need for the revision of the Township Secondary Plan. This meeting is an opportunity for anyone with comments or suggested changes to make their thoughts known to Council. The proposed Official Plan Amendment seeks to carry out revisions to the Secondary Plan in 5 separate areas as follows: 1. Site Plan Control The proposed Official Plan Amendment would include policies pertaining to the use of site plan control. The areas to be subject to siteplan control will include: industrial; commercial; agricultural commercial; high density residential; mobile home parks; salvage yard; extractive industrial and certain institutional uses. Site Plan Control provisions will enable Council to pass by-laws which require the submission and approval of site plans by Council. 2. Community Improvement Policies The proposed Official Plan Amendment would establish Community Improvement Policies for the Township of East Wawanosh. Community Improvement seeks to reduce deficiencies in municipal, social, recreational and physical facilities and resources within the Township and provides criteria for achieving this objective. 3. Public Notice The proposed Official Plan Amendment reduces the length of time required for notice of a public meeting from 30days to 21 days for the purpose of a public meeting for a zoning amendment. 4. Hutton Heights The proposed amendment will designate a strip of land to the westof Hutton Heights as Residential, while including policies restricting the use of this land to Residential uses [although recognizing existing Institutional uses] and requiring development based on a plan of subdivision. The area to be designated residential is as shown on the map below. 5. Natural Environment The proposed amendment will designate additional areas of Natural Environment as shown on the map below. Additional policies will also be included allowing for the use of ‘non-sensitive’ natural environment for accessory farm residences; accessory agricultural commercial residences; the expansion of existing farm buildings and Institutional buildings required for the maintenance of the Natural Environment. Inaddition, subjecttocertain criteria existing vacant natural environment lots may be allowed a residence. These policies will apply to both existing areas designated Natural Environment and the areas which are proposed to be designated by this amendment. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed official plan amendment.
