Bluewater Kennel Club hosts annual dog show The population of Blyth, both human and canine, swelled last Tuesday and Wednesday, as the Bluewater Kennel Club held its all breed and obedience trial shows at the Blyth Community Centre. According to show chairman, Florence Pullen, this was the fourth year the show has been held in Blyth, and was held in Exeter in previous years. Over 90 breeds of dogs were present at the show, and are classified into seven groups: sport ing, hounds, working, terriers, toys, non-sporting , and hunting dogs. These breeds include Bichons, Bulldogs, Chow Chows, Poodles, Doberman Pinschers, Collies, Newfoundlands, Schnauzers, Chihuahuas and Yorkshires to name a few. Final prizes are made to the best dog in show and the best puppy in show. Also during the show, dogs could be disqualified for doing as Florence Pullen says, “no no’s in the ring.” This includes the dogs doing their business, which is extremely embarassing to dog owners.
