Seven projects from the Blyth Public School's science fair will be going on to the county science fair. Representing the Blyth School will be [front row, left to right] Kim Medd, Jennifer Allan, Jennifer Roulston, [back row] Rick Howson, Arthur Bos and Scott Cronin. Also going will be Karrie McClinchey. Former Grey resident dies A former resident of Grey Township, Wilfred B. Hoy of Bray Lodge, Wingham, passed away Monday, March 24, at Wingham and District Hospital after an illness of three weeks. He was in his 84th year. Mr. Hoy was born on the fifth concession of Grey on October 14, 1902, a son of the late William John Hoy and Mellisa Sarah Laing. He received his elementary schooling at USS No. 6, Grey, and farmed all his adult life, first on Concession 6 of Grey, then at Lot 7, Concession 7, from 1953 until 1972. He lived in Gorrie in 1972 and 1973, then moved to 16 Patrick Street West in Wingham where he lived until last year when he went to Bray Lodge. On June 23,1932, he- married the former Jessie J. Brown at the Trowbridge parsonage. She sur- vives to mourn the passing of her life partner. Also sharing the loss are Mr. Hoy's family: Harold Hoy of Owen Sound, Bill and Roberta Hoy of Guelph and Lynn and Annabelle Hoy, RR 4, Wingham. There are six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ted (Mildred) Gill, Ethel, and Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) McCutcheon, London. He was predeceased by one grandson, James Hoy; and his brothers, Edward, George and Lloyd Hoy. Friends paid their respects at The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, where Mr. Hoy rested until Thursday when funeral ser- vice was conducted at 1:30 by Rev. J. Rea Grant of Wingham United Church where deceased was a member. Two granddaughters, Catharine and Caroline Hoy of Guelph, played violin duets of The Twenty -Third Psalm, "Amazing Grace", "Great Is They Faithful - f alton Mrs. Betty McCaII 887-6677 Couple takes trip to Nashville Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clarke enjoyed a trip to Nashville on the Easter weekend. Wendy and Rodney stayed with relatives in Seaforth. April is Cancer month. The canvassers Viola Kirkby, Isabel Shortreed and Audrey Hackwell will call on the villagers. Mrs. Bella Debris, Milverton was an overnight guest with her sister-in-law Mrs. Ruth Thamer. They continued on to Goderich to visit the former sisters, Mrs. Laura White and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Reise. Those interested in playing ball this season are reminded of Ball Registration on Saturday, April 19 from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. in the Walton Library. Mrs. Isabel Shortreed spent the weekend with Bill and Louise' Smith at their summer home, ;',lnberly. Six grandchildren, Brian Hoy, Cather- ine Hoy, Caroline Hoy and Debbie Hoy, were flower bearers. Spring interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Grey Township.
