Johnston of Clinton died in his 73rd year, He was the husband of Leila Johnston and father of Mrs. Grant (Helen) MacLean, Hensall, Mrs. Jim (Leona) Armstrong, • Brussels, Mrs, Berne (Doris) McKinley, Zurich and Mrs. Dwight (Joan) Campbell, Truro N.S. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two brothers, Bert of Beigrave and Jim of Welland. The funeral service was held on Wednesday December 15 at 3 p.m. from the Ontario Street. United Church, Clinton, interment followed in Brussels Cemetery. Mr. Johnston, was a past reeve of Morris Township,' Warden of Huron Counfy and administrator* of Huronview.for 15 years. Market active at stockyards The market at Brussels Stock- yards Friday was active on all classes of livestock with 803 cattle and 1498 pigs on offer. Choice Steers - 41.00 to 43.00 with sales to 43.60. Good Steers - 39.00 to 41.00. Sixteen steers consigned by J, Wheeler & Son of Brussels averaging 1040 lbs. sold for 43:60 with their offering of 77 steers averaging 1167 lbs. selling for 42.60. Five steers consigned by Ron Wolfe of Dobbinton averaging 1252 lbs. sold for 42.30 with his 13 FOOD STORE S Thirteen• steers consigned by. Jack Cardiff of Brussels averag- ing 1106 lbs. sold for 42.00, There were not sufficient steers averaging 1217 lbs. selling for 42.15, A steer consigned by Harold Featherstone of Moorefield weighing 1180 lbs. sold for 42.50 with his package of 9 steers averaging 1065 lbs.. sold for 41.90. Fifteen steers consigned by Lorne Eadie of Hdlyrood averag- ing 1095 lbs. sold for 42.00. 'heifers to establish a price. Good Heifers traded from 35.00 to 37.00. Choice Cows - 22,00 to 24.00 with sales to 24.25. Good Cows - 20.00 to 22.00.
