ANDERSON Elizabeth Rutherford, wife. of he late Oliver George Anderson led November 27 in Pinecrdst ruing Home, Lucknow, She s in her ninetieth year. Sh e was born in West awanosh Township on January 5,1887, the daughter of the late ugh Rutherford and Elizabeth Mrs. Anderson was educated at elfast Public School, Goderich Collegiate and Peterborough Normal School. She was a school teacher in her early life. She was an active member of the United Farm Women of Ontario from 1930 to 1950 and was president of that organization or a number of years. She was one of the founders ad organizers of Huron County Co-Operative Medical Services a ndwas a director froin 1949 until 1969 during the time it was in operation. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Belgrave, and an honorary life member of the WMS of that .church. Mrs. Anderson's husband died in January 1934. She is survived by daughters, Merle, Mrs. Bryce Elliott, Lucknow, Bernice Kelly, Vancouver, and sons, Ross, R.R.5, Wingham and. Graeme, Belgrave. Another son, Grant, is deceased. She was predeceased by a sister, Christina, Mrs. John Bennett and a brother, William Rutherford. Funeral service was held Monday, November 29, from the Obituary R.A,Currie and Son Funeral Home in Wingham, with. Rev. Ken limes officating, Pallbearers were Clarke Johnston, R.R.1, Belgrave, James Taylor, R.R.5, Wingham, Alan Dunbar, R.R.1, Belgrave, Cameron Proctor, Clinton, Finlay McGowan, London and Grant Rutherford, Kingston. MATTHEW KELLY Matthew .Kelly, 64, of Harpurhey died Thursday at the Seaforth Community Hospital. Born in Scotland, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Kelly. He came to Canada in 1941' and married the former Verna Hackett in 1942. Mr. Kelly was a storeman at the former Canadian Forces. Base, Clinton and retired in 1971. He served in World War 2 from 1941-45. Surviving is his wife, a son, Peter, of London, a grandson, Michael, ' of London and two sisters in Scotland. The body was at the R.S. Box funeral home, Seaforth. Mass was held at . St. James Church Saturday December 4 with Father H.J. Laragh officiating. Temporary entombment is in the Pionner Mausoleum, Seaforth with burial to follow in St. James cemetery. A Legion memorial service was held Friday at 9 p.m. under the auspices of Seaforth Branch, 156. Pallbearers 'were Ken Hiusser, Reg Aubin, Ed Andreivs, Reid Allen,' Dud Hopper and Keith Sharp. ARCHIE R. RILEY Archie R. Riley • of .R,R.4, Clinton, died suddenly in Pine River on November 25, 1976, after suffering a heart attack. He was 52. Mr. Riley was born to Ben and Selena Riley in Hullett Township on December 2, 1923. He married the former Villa Cardiff in • Brussels in 1943 and the couple moved to the Clinton area. A carpenter by trade, Mr Riley was a member of Wesley-Willis United Church. Mr. Riley is survived by his wife; four sons, David . in Kitchener, Harvey, St. ,Th omas, Clayton, R.R.2, Seaforth, and St6ren at home , a fifth son Ross, predeceased him; and- two daughter's, Mrs. Shirley Langois, London and Nancy, Toronto. Also surviving, are four brothers, John, Londesboro, Ben and Percy, Goderich, Robert, Hamilton; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Mary ) Dale and Mrs. Elmer (Etta) Hugill, Clinton and Mrs. Vern (Isabelle) Porter, London and seven grandchildren. Mr. Riley was predeceased by one son, Ross, and one brother, Alex. Rev. John Oestreicher officiated at the November 27 funeral service from the Beattie Funeral Home, 'Clinton. Pallbearers were Lloyd.
