Mr. of silence in, memory of the late Correspondent "Much. Out of Little" was the theme of a study period conducted by Mrs. Wayne Baswick during the November meeting of the Women's Missionary Society of Knox Presbyterian Church, Bluevale. Mrs. Baswick told of the life of the Israelites and how they ruled, good or bad, and the results of these years. Her theme was from the Book of Judges. She told of the leader Shamgar, the third judge, who drove the Philistines back with ox-goods, and so kept them from ruling over the land. Mrs: Baswick ended her study by stressing to t he members to make use of what they are given. Pig prices higher at stockyards A heavy supply of cattle lacking quality met an uneven demand at Brussels Stockyards 'Friday with the well finished steers and heifers selling steady. All weights of pigs sold at higher prices. Choice Steers - 40.00 to 42.50 with sales to 42.75. Good Steers - 38.00 to 40.00. Six steers consigned by Ron Wolfe of Dobbinton averaging 1205 lbs. sold for 42.75 with his lot of 13 steers averaging 1230 lbs. selling for 42.40. A steer consigned by Jack Culbert of Dungannon weighing 1220 lbs. sold for 42.75. A steer consigned by . Maple Emblem Farms of Dungannon weighing 1230 lbs. sold for 42.75 with their lot of 8 steers averaging 1245 lbs. selling for 41.85. Fifty light steers consigned by Gerald Ball of Embro averaging 1045 lbs. sold for 41.25. Choice Heifers - 37.00 to 39.00 with sales to 39.25. Good Heifers - 35.00 to 37.00. Mrs. Burns Moffatt was hostess for the meeting. Mrs. Glenn Golley gave the call to worship and led in an opening hymn. Mrs. Lobo Mann had charge of devotions which were taken from the Glad Tidings entitled "Who Will Serve Me," by Margaret Simmons. Mrs. William Elston led in prayer. An "In Memoriam" and a time Crowd at " Mrs. Nellie Lillow were given by Mrs. Bernard 'Thomas. The late Mrs. Lillow was a life member of the Bluevale W.M.S, of Knox Presbyterian Church. The minutes of the last meeting were read , by Mrs. Glenn McKercher. Roll call was answered by 12 members, each giving a suggestion for a roll call for next year. Visits to the sick were recorded. Mrs. Ross Gray gave the. treasurer's report and received the offeratory prayer. Mrs. Golley expressed appreciation to Mrs. Baswick and Mrs. Burns Moffatt. After the closing hymn Mrs. Golley gave the closing prayer. Lunch was served by the hostess assisted by Mrs. William Elston and Mrs. Lolo Mann. Personals Mr. Wayne Baswick was in charge of the service in Knox Presbyterian Church Sunday. His sermon being entitled, "Born Again." After the bazaar was opened at 3 p.m. by Rev. Wilena Brown, a brisk sale of home baking, knitted, crocheted and embroidered articles,‘ novelities and vegetables took place.
