Ethel Raynard s surprised on 25th anniversary Correspondent. Mrs. Cliff Bray Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Wardlaw of Toronto visited with Mrs. Douglas Wardlaw on the weekend. David Quesnel is a patient in Listowel Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Davidson and Blair , M. and Mrs. Doug Bremner and Christopher and Miss Irene Raynard held a family dinner at the Maitland Restaurant in Wingham on Friday evening, November 12th in honor of their parents, Lou and Cecil Raynard on the occasion of their 25th Wedding Anniversary. On their return home they were invited to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Guy Quesnel of Ethel where a suprise party was held by relatives, friends and neighbours. A social evening was enjoyed with tables of euchre and dancing with music by Clifford Stevens records. Lou and Cecil received many lovely gifts. A tasty lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bray, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davis of Lucan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gowing . and Paul enrout to Bluevale on Sunday. (Photo by Langlois) 2 injured in highway 4 accident 6 f „„ During the week November 8. 14, officers of Wingham . OPP Detachment conducted twenty -seven investigations. Twelve char ges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and sixteen warnings were issued. Four charges were laid under the Liquor Licence Act. During the week, there were eight motor vehicle collisions which caused an estimated $5,405, in property damage and injuries to two persons. On Saturday, November 13, William R. Stacey of Leopold Street, Wingham was injured in a single -car collision on Highway HOURS 8 a.m.-7 p.m. #4, south of Huron Road 12. To meet this demand, the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities Apprenticeship Program offers Systematic on-the-job training and related classroom . instruction in many trades. Depending On the trade, an apprenticeship varies in length from 2 to 5 years, and apprentices are paid an increasing percentage Of the going rate for fully-qualified tradespeople. At the conclusionp the training period, an apprentice will qualify for a Certificate of Apprenticeship and, where applicable, a Certificate of Qualification. Your Ontario Government has prepared a special . booklet, "Training for the Skilled, Trades", which describes the apprenticeship program, lists the trades WhiCh it - covers and explains how.to get into the program.
