The aim of the HPRCSS board is to "provide, in co-operation with the Church and the home, a Catholic education that will develop the spiritual, intellectual, physical emotional and social well being of its students", board members decided, in adopting a written list of aims and objectives. Stratford, trustee Howard Shantz wanted to know what the board is going to do with the statement it adopted. It is useless "unless we let others know these are our aims and objectives," he said, and suggested that they be circulated to every school. , "How could it be otherwise. The teachers are doing this anyway", said trristee, Kinaha a. Director of Education Vintar replied that the aims are not new "they've alw ays been implicit; this is an attempt to make them explicit." Board members agreed with trustee Marcy that the aims and objectives be, sent to every teacher in the system, and to clergy, with the suggestion that they reprint them in church bulletins. The board's superintendent of special services, Joe Mills, reported that the recent Trofessional development day on religious renewal fits well into the aims and objectives. He praised press r eports of the day by Wilma Oke. Trustee Crowley asked if non-Catholic teachers attended the day and was told they had and had participated. Mr. Mills and HPRCSS board chairman Arthur Haid reported on their attendance at a convention of the Federation of Catholic Educators in. London- last week. It was enlightening to see 11 bishops from across the provicne "take a leadership roll" at the convention, Mr. Mills said. The board accepted the resignaaon of Sharon Ward as custodian at St. Marys School, Hesson.
