Detachement conducted
fifty seven investigations. •
Eleven charges were laid under
the Highway Traffic Act with
seventeen warnings_ issued.
Fifteen charges wre laid under
the Liquor Licence Act.
Six charges were laid under the
Criminal Code.
During the week, there were
eight motor vehicle collisions
which caused an estimated
$9,570.00 in property damage and
injuries to seven persons.
On Monday, October 25,
William S. Stevenson age 11, of
Belgrave was injured when the
motorcycle he was riding on his
front lawn rolled over.
Levi A. Byer of RR 1, Clifford
and Samuel R. hymers of RR 2,
Clifford were involved in a
collision on Huron County Road
28, south of Howick-Carrick Town

On Thursday, October .21, the
Madill Mustangs played
Goderich at our school. There was
a short period schedule so that
students could cheer their teams
on to victory. This was the case
for 'the Junior basketball team
who defeated Goderich 38 - 35.
The seniors, however, lost a. very
close game by a score of 36-40.
Tuesday, October 26, our two
girls basketball teams travelled to
Listowel.
The Junior team scored another
victory with a score of 26-22.
Although a little disorganized on
offence, the girls. managed some
quick baskets. Debbie
MacDonald took down 18
rebounds, Kathy Cruickshank, 12
and Kathy Fischer 11. The

On Thursday, October 21, the
Junior Basketball Teani defeated
Goderich. ,We were losing after
the first half, but came back for a
victory of 28 -25 to give Gode'rich
their second defeat of the season.
•The stands were filled with
enthusiastic fans which helped us
come out on top.
Our top scorer of
the game was Kathy Cruickshank
with ten points and our top
•rebounder was Debbie
MacDonald with 12 rebounds., it
was a very exciting and important
game • for the Juniors. Thanks
again to the' fans for their
support.
OPP cites accidents

beams. She pulled her foot loose,
but the shoe caught and she was
tyring to pull it loose when the
beams fell on her.
Over the Hallowe'en weekend,
officers made eleven liquor
seizures, but basically,
Hallowe'en was faily •quie t and

complaints being 'called in. The
two most serious were of rocks
thrown through windows of two
residences in Turnberry
Township.

Raymond 0. Schmidt of Bluevale
and Neil J. Warwick of RR 2,
Bluievale, were involved in a
collision on Clyde Street, south of
Queen Street, Bluevale. Neil J.
Warwick, who was riding a motor
cycle,was injured as a' result 'of
the collison.
William M. McWhirter of
Brussels and Paul F. Whitehead
of RR 2, Maberly, Ont. were
involved in a collision on
concession 13-14 at Sideroad 5-6,
Grey Township. Both drivers
were injured as well as two
passengers in the Whitehead
vehicle; Marlene and Carmen
Manning of RR 2, Brussels.
On October 31, 1976 at 4:00
p.m. Gloria Stacey, age 9,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Stacey of Turnberry Township,
was killed when she accidentally
pulled over some wooden beams
on top of her. She had been
