The president, Mr. Jim Amstrong welcomed members and several visitors. In the absence of the secretary, Mrs. Charles • Mathers read minutes. The Huron County rally will be held at Dashwood October 4. Mrs. Armstrong and Mrs. Mathers were, appointed delegates; alternates are Mrs. Carl Johnston and. Mrs. Viola Campbell. Mrs. Street spoke on the motto, "To have what y ou want is' riches, but to be able to do without is power". Mrs. Alex MacTavish gave the topic, "World and Municipal. Affairs" and discussion involved all members. The OCtober meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Robert Fraser. Roll call will be "name a book - you enjoyed reading recently." Mrs. Elston Speaks The life of Abraham was the topic theme when Mrs. William Elston spoke to the W.M.S. of Knox Presbyterian Church at the h ome of Mrs. Gordon Mundell, Wingham. Mrs. Golley opened — the meeting and thanked Mrs. Elston for her interesting account of the Old Testament prophet's life and also extended thanks to Mrs. Mundell for sharing her home. Scripture from the ninth chapter of Genesis and comments on the reading were given by Mrs. Keith Moffatt. Mrs. Harvey Robertson led in prayer. Minutes were read by—Mis. McKercher. Plans were made for the Thankoffering meeting in October and Mrs. Mundell received the offering which was dedicated by Mrs. Golley. Father Nolan and Rev. Ed. Baker officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Doug. Fraser, R.R.#2, Blyth, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. George Blake, R.R.#2, BrusSels. Mrs. Rose Loomans, Seaforth,. was matron of honour. Bridesmaids were Miss Cheryl Fraser and Mrs. Carolyn Sullivan, sisters of the bride, and Miss Julie Blake and Miss Joyce Blake, sisters of of the groom. Piet LoOmans, Seaforth, was groomsman. Ushers were Clayton Fraser, brother of the bride, Bob Blake and Jim Blake, brothers of the groom, and Bruce McDonald, Kitchener. Soloists were Dena and Deb Wey, and the organist was Mrs. Ian Wilbee. The wedding reception was, held at Brodhagen Community Centre. Guests were present from London, Kitchener, Cambridge, Toronto, Chatham, London, England, Brussels, Seaforth and surrounding communites.
