followed by a prayer poem "My
Work", by Mrs. John Roberts
Psalm 104 was read and hymn
"Work for the Night is Coming"
was sung.

dedicated by Miss Annie Cook.:

the worship service. Mrs: Robert
Taylor conducted the business.
The October meeting will 'be held at the home of Mrs. John
Kerr on October 12 with Mrs. Jack
Higgins group in charge of the
program, Mrs. Cliff Logan's
group the lunch and Mrs. Norman
Cook's group the worship.
Mrs, William Coultes gave
an interesting account ,of the
school for Leaders at Alma
College which she attended.

Wednesday in the church with
Mrs. Walter Shortreed presiding.
The meeting was opened by
,reading in unison. The call to
worship from the hymnal "Take
up .Thy Cross" was sung. Mrs.
&se Dunbar read scripture from
Philippians Chap. 2. Mrs. Mac.
Scott led in prayer. Minute were
read by Mrs. J. C. M cBurney
followed by the treasurer's report
• by Mrs. Victory Youngblut.
The roll call was answered by a
verse on "'love" and sixteen sick
and shut-in calls were recorded.
The topic was: taken by Mrs.
McBurney and dealt with the
Christian 'Co'nference in. Asia.
This conference takes in Pakistan
to Japan including New Zealand
and Australia and represents
40,000,000 Christians. The top
priorities were hunger, human
rights!and living .Theolugy. She
also .told of the work of the Urban
Rural 'Mission and read some
articles from the Glad Tidings- on
the same subject. "Fight the
good Fight's was sung and Mrs.
Shortreed closed the meeting
with prayer.
