The dance was held in the Oldfield's driving shed and a canoe was pressed into service to hold water in, rather than out, to keep refreshments cool outside the shed. (Photos by Bremner) Playhouse offers free concert The Huron Country Playhouse will present a free concert Thursday, Sept 2, at 2:30, at the Grand Bend professional theatre. Members of the London Symphony Orchestra will perform in the'theatre courtyard (weather permitting). In case of inclement weather, the audience and musicians will move inside the theatre building. The concert is the culmination of a series of workshops held Thursday afternoons this summer at the Grand Bend School. The workshops hays„,:covered "Meet the Musicians, all that Jazz, Brass is Beautiful, Strings and Things, and Winds and Reeds." The Huron Country Playhouse has sponsored the workshops and concert as a community service project.
