Couple will live and Bluevale
study in Guelph Johnstons honoured

Exchanging of wedding bands
and the declaration by Bev.
Wesley Ball making them one,
united in marriage Janet de Boer
of R.R.#1, Bluevale and Gordon
Macatee of Thornhill, on
Saturday, August 7, in the Gorrie
United Church.
Parents of the bride are Mr.
and Mrs. Dick de Boer of R.R.#1,
Bluevale. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Macatee,
Thornhill. Mrs. Nora Moffatt
provided organ music th roughout
the ceremony and Miss Karen
Hansen of Kincardine sang
"Bless This House" as the
bride's mother was seated.
During the ceremony the
congregation joined in the singing
of "Praise, my soul, The King of
Heaven" and "The Lord's My
Shepherd". Miss Hansen and
Miss Elizabeth Ellwood of
Wyoming sang "Follow Me"
during the signing of the register.
The bride carried her great
grandmother's purse which was
used by her great grandmother,
grandmother and mother on their
wedding days. The silver handle
of the purse featured various
Dutch country scenes.
Lorna Eadie, friendof the bride
of • Chesley, was maid of honor
and bridesmaids were Elizabeth
Ellwood, friend, from Wyoming,
Irene Nicholson, cousin of the
bride of Strathroy and Heather
Macatee, Thornhill, sister of the
groom.
The flower girl was Tracey
Jarvis, R.R.#1, Bluevale.
Jeffrey de Boer, brother of the
bride, of R.R.#1, Bluevale, was
ringbearer.
Glen Roswell, friend of the
groom, of London was best man
and the guests were ushered by
three brothers of the bride,
Ronald de Boer, and Douglas de
Boer, all of R.R.#1, Bluevale.

Fallowing the wedding, a
reception was held at Ratton
Place, Palmerston.
Guests attended the wedding
from Toronto, Ottawa, Sarnia,
new York, Lindsay, Woodstock,
Lucknow, Wroxeter, Teeswater
and Wingham. Honored guests
were the grandmothers of the
couple, Mrs. Simon de Boer of
Lucknow and Mrs. Lena Macatee,
Tlaronto; and relatives of the bride
from Holland, her aunt and uncle,
Mr. and Mrs.F. Vlieger, cousin
Frans Vlieger and Cousin and
husband, MT. and\ 'Mrs. G. den
Haan.
After a honeymoon to Nova
Scotia Mr. and Mrs. Macatee are
residing in Guelph where the
groom is attending university.
The bride, a graduate of Wilfrid
Laurier University, will be
continuing her education at
Guelph Universit§4,

Bluevale Juvenile Girls won
over Belgrave Wednesday night
28-24 and again. Friday night
20-19. Bluevale has won 3 games
- Belgrave 2. This is the best 4 out
of 7 finals. They will be playing
Monday night in Belgrave.
There will be special racing at
the Blyth race track this Saturday
night at a quarter to eight. Enjoy
blanket night as the season
closes. -
