uvenile Girls defeated Belgrave
onday night in Bluevale 30 - 13.
Wednesday night in Belgrave,
Members of the 4-H
homemaking clubs and their
leaders were guests when the
local Women's Institute met at
the home of Mrs. Soren Anderson
on Thursday afternoon of last
week. They were welcomed by
the W.I. president, Mrs. Jim '
Armstrong.
Karen Johnston and .Pauline
Schmidt, commentators for the
Bluevale III Club, gave a talk on
color and color schemes. The
Bluevale II Club presented an
exhibit "Embroidery Stitches
nd Their Uses". Three members'
of the Bluevale I Club, Melody
Brewer, Karen Armstrong 'and
Wendy Armstrong, spoke on
color schemes in embroidery,
Mrs. William Peacock read the
minutes of the last meeting, as
well as thank you card • and 'an
:initiation to Moncrieff. Roll call
was answered by each member
displaying a craft. It was
interesting to see what each one
oes in her spare time.
The 4-H leaders for the .fall
projects are: Bluevale I, Mrs. Jim
Thompson and Mr. Harris
ampbell; Bluevale II, Vicky Peel
and Vicky Steckley; Bluevale III
During the week, Wingharri
Ontario Provincial Police officers
conducted twenty-eight
investigations: Fifteen charges
were laid under the Highway
Traffic Act and eighteen warning
were issued.
Three charges were laid under
the Liquor Licence Act.
One charge was laid under the
Criminal Code.
During the week, there were
three motor vehicle collisions
which caused an estimated $1600
n property damage. No one was
njured as a result of these
collisions.

Miss Corinne Keiffer of
Hamilton spent a few days
holidaying with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs, Oscar Keiffer. She is. a
faculty member of Mohawk
College, Hamilton and will be
located this year ovith the
Brantford Campus.
