When you are driving along a
highway at a comfortable 50 miles

their departure point to their
destination as action as possiible.
Maybe travelling at 50' miles an
hour makes us `'slowpokes'', but
at. least, we enjoy the trip and
have the knowledge that we are'

At least 1500 people saw the
Brussels rodeo at the fair grounds
here on Sunday. The. Brussels
Business Association, the
sponsors and the Maitland Valley
Saddle Club, who produced the
rodeo events, called it a great
success. The BBA hopes the
event can be held again next year.

In a tragic accident early
Tuesday morning, James Turvey,
73, a resident ofCallander
Nursing Home in Brussels was
killed'on County Road 12, a mile
north of Brussels. The accident
happened about 5 a.m.
Constable Ken Murray of the
Wingham OPP said Mr. Turvey
was lying on the road when he
was hit by a car driven by Glenn
Fines of R.R.1, Bluevale.
Mr. Fines, who was travelling
south, reported the accident to
the Wingham OPP.
An autopsy was done on Mr.
Turvey's body at Stratford
General Hospital, Tuesday
morning and Cont. Murray said,

A mental health centre for
Huron County children is on its
way.
The Provincial Ministry of
health has given approval for the
creation of • a children's mental
health centre to provide
specialized services for children
and youth in Hirron County. The
sometime during the night. •
The Wingham OPP told the
Brussels Post that there are no
charges being laid at this time.
new service will be incorporated
under the Children's Mental
Health Centre's' Act, and as a
psychiatric facility under . the
Mental Health 'Act.
Following the closure of the
Goderich Psychiatric Hsopital and
its child care and adolescent unit,
