"At one point everyone thought this area would only be flooded once in every twenty years, but in the last three years it has been flooded four times," Mr.Deslauriers said. "It is just unpredictable.' This area is an obvious flood hazard, he said, but the flood plain criteria for other areas in Ontario is 'at present under review.
