When the Brussels Horticultural
Society met Monday July 19th in
the Public Library Mrs. F. 'Dunk

numbers. These were much
enjoyed and Mrs. B. Hemingway
thanked • the girls with a gift.

Two Sunday concerts will be
given by the Blyth Summer
Festival musicians on August 1
and 8. Those who have had the
pleasure of attending any of the
Festival's theatrical productions,
and have heard their accompani-
ment, already know how gifted
these three people, are. Now with
their own concert, they have a
chance to better display their
talent and diversity.
The first concert will consist of
selections of country and folk
music played by Shelley Cooper-
smith, Jack Blum and Joe Miller.
The second will feature the music
of India played by Joe Miller on
sitar and Shelley Coopersmith on
vocals. Both of these musicians
studied Indian music at York
University in Toronto and at the

sale now
Tickets go on sale this week for
the two Seaforth performances of
Anne of Green Gables, the
Canadian musical by Don Harron,
Sunday afternoon and evening,
August 22. The Huron Country
Playhouse production is spon-
sored by the Van Egmond Foun-
dation.
Anne will be performed at the
Seaforth District High School
auditorium, which was the scene
last year of a sold out house for
the Grand Bend company's prod-
uction of Hello Dolly. Tickets for
the matinee at 3 p.m. and the
evening performance at8 p.m.
are available at The- Huron
Expositor in Seaforth, The Brus-
sels Post, the Clinton News
Record and the Blyth Standard at
$4 for adults and $2 for children.
Tickets are on sale now for both
performances. All proceeds, after
the Playhouse's production costs,
go to the Van Egmond Found-
ation to help finance restoration
of the historic Van Egmond
House in Egmondville.

The flower show was discussed
and committees formed: Flower
committee, Mrs. N. McLarty,
Mrs. C. Hemingway, Mrs. D.
Hemingway; Supper Committee,
Mrs. A. McCall, Mrs. F. Dunk,
Mrs. Wm. Miller, Mrs. C.
Centre for World Music in
Berkeley, California.
Admission is $1.00 per person
for each concert, or $1.50 for
both. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. at
the Blyth Memorial Hall. For

the turkeys.
Mrs. Wm. Miller introduced
the Guest speaker, Reg
Tompkins, Listowel florist. He
demonstrated Corsages of roses
and carnations and did mum
arrangements. Mrs. Miller
thanked him and he gave•Mrs. F.
Dunk, Misses Cox and Mrs. Wm.
Miller a corsage, Mrs. B.
Hemingway a small mum
arrangement and Mrs. H. Steffler
won the large mum arrangment.
Mrs. Wm. Perrie won the door
prize.
The Society is hosting the
birthday party at the Callendar
Nursing home for July. The
committee is to be Mrs. R.W.
Stephens, Mrs. F. Dunk, Mrs. E.
Cudmore, with the help of Mrs.
Ida Evans.
There were 28 guests and 29
members present. The Queen
closed the meeting and lunch was
served by Mrs.. A. Bremner, Mrs.
E. Cunningham, Mrs. S.
Alexander, Mrs. S. Seibert and
Mrs. H. Kleinstruber.
