Correspondent Mrs, L. Stonehouse The 45th annual Procter re- union was held on Sunday, July 11, at the Belgrave Wonen's Institute Hall with 69 signing the register. A social time was enjoyed by the adults while the children enthusiastically partici- pated in several sporting events. The president Ross Procter, gave an interesting talk on early Procter historical events and displayed a piece of wood from the beech tree under which the first two Procter brothers camped for their first night in Morris Township. The stump of this tree which must be 200 years old, still remains. Following lunch, the president conducted a short business meet- ing. Officers for 1977 are presi- dent-Alvin Procter, vice-presi- dent-Frank Procter, secretary- treasurer-Bob Thomas, sports committee-Douglas Procter, Cameron Procter, Mrs. Edna Stephens, lunch committee-Miss Maxine Procter, Mrs. Larry May- berry, Mrs. Helen McBurney and Mrs. Laura Johnston. Personals Paul Coultes of Belgrave and Brian Scott of Barrie and their grandfather Sherwood Taylor of Galt have returned home from a train and plane trip to British Columbia. On the way out they stopped in Calgary for the stampede and parade and visited withMr.and Mrs. Don Taylor of Kelowna, B.C. Steven Coultes spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ala..n Scott of Barrie. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Coyne of Kitchener were week-end visitors with his uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Ray Robinson also visited with other Robinson relatives in the area Mr. and Mrs. John Spivey, Brenda and Barbara of Ingersall spent the week-end with her OPP find bike During the week July 12 to July 18, O.P.P. officers at the Wing- ham detachment investigated thirty-three occurrences. Fifty-seven charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and forty warnings were issued. Six charges were laid under the Liquor Licence Act. Three charges were laid under the Criminal Code. During the week, a bicycle was brought into the Wingham Detachment. It has been aband- oned' in the Wroxeter area for the past three weeks. The owner may have the bicycle by attending at the Wingham Detachment and describing it. During the week, there were three motor vehicle collisions which caused an estimated $5080. in property damage. There were no injuries. r parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Procter. Hallahan returned home from Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday. - Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor of St. Annes and Mr. and Mrs. Don Rae and Janie of Guelph were week-end visitors with their par- ents Mr. and Mrs. James R. Coultes. M. and Mrs. Roy Thompson of East Brunswick, New Jersey are spending a week with Mrs. Ethel Wheeler. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Youngblut and family, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Whitfield and family of Blyth were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rath. Mr. and Mrs.K enneth Wheeler Mr.' and Mrs. James R. Coultes, Mr. Clifford Coultes, Mr. C. R. Coultes of Huronview attended the funeral of Mr. Harold E., Buffett of Carsonville, on Sunday. Mr. and 'Mrs, Alex Styles, Mrs. Lew Clark and Christina, Bill Styles and Miss Betty Lark of Toronto visited on Sunday with Mrs. Cara McG ill. Mr. and Mrs. James R. Coultes returned home on Thursday even- ing from their trip to the 7th World Hereford Conference in Banff, Alberta. Mr. and Mrs. William Shack- leton and Janice of Burlington visited with Mrs. Walter Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Scott last Tuesday. Mrs. Walter Scott spent a few days recently with her brother W.S. Shackleton at RainbOw Valley Camp in the Caledon Hills. Mrs. Bruce Campbell has re- turned home from Wingham and District Hospital after appendix surgery. Her mother Mrs. Albert Coultes is convalescing from a gall bladder operation from last month. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hanna spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Winnick and family who were camping at Camp Emily near Peterborough. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stone- house attend the Rath re-union in Springbank Park, London on Saturday /also called on Mrs. korman Stonehouse of London and her daughter and son-in-law Mr., and Mrs.. Robert Swart of Waskada, Manitoba, who are visiting with her mother.
