Mrs. Martin Baan presided for' the business portion of the meeting. Minutes were read by Mrs. George Williamson in the absence of secretary Mrs. Harold McCallum. Gifts have been purchased for Allan Johnston of London. Inter- ment was in Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Hugh Pear- son, Ralph Pearson, George Pearson, Ken Fife, George Joynt and Burt Elliot. JULY 21, '1976 Obituary Correspondent Mrs. Allan McCall The 17th and Boundary Unit of Duff's United Church was held at the home of Mrs. Harvey Craig on Wednesday evening, July 14. Mrs. Bruce Clark and Mrs. Graeme Craig were in charge of devotions opening with a quest- ionnaire on the Olympics. Hymn 399 "Faith of our Fathers" was sung. Mrs. Clark read a poem "The end of the Rainbow," followed by scripture reading Psalm 103. Mrs. Craig read Miss Mary Ellen [Ella] Pearson Miss Ella Pearson, 82 passed away after a short illness in Wingham and District Hospital Sunday July 18. She was born in Grey Township , the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Pearson. Miss Pearson spent all of her life in the Ethel, Brussels area and during her lifetime was a faithful member of Ethel and Brussels United Churches. For the past four years she was a resident of the Callander Nursing Home where she enjoyed reasonably good health. Miss Pearson was also a meber of the Brussels Women's Institute and Brussels U.C.W. and was a familiar figure on the sheets of Brussels as she visited with friends and neighbours. She will always be remembered for her gentle, kindly manner and interest in others and the activities of the community, She was. predeceased by her patents and three brothers Robert, James and Joseph, one niece and two nephews and is survived by 3 nephews and 6 nieces. The body rested at the M.L. Watts Funeral Home until Wed, nesday, July 21 when the funeral service was conducted by Rev. A Post Classified will pay you dividends. Have yoti tried one? Ed Baker, whose topic was "Bear good fruit." The choir rendered the anthem "Somebody's praying for you." accompanied by the organist Mrs. Ian Wilbee. Offering was received by Jack McEwing, Norman Schade and Doug Fraser. The church will be closed for services till August 22 while the minister is on holidays.
