Bluevale WI hang poster

Bluevale Women's Institute
met at the library J une 30 to hang
a poster on the wall. The poster
reads, "The laying of the
cornerstone of the Bluevale
Methodist Church in July 1890"
Supper was served on the lawn of
Joseph Leach, now occupied by
the Street family in Bluevale,
followed by a concert with artist's
from London, Teeswater and
Wingham. The price of the
concert was 25 cents.
The poster was given to the
Institute by Mrs. Donald Street.

The annual' McTaggart
Reunion was held in the Seaforth
park on Sunday July 11.
After an enjoyable dinner the
sports committee, Yvonne Knight
and Geraldine Siemon enter-
tained the children with games
and then swimming in the pool.
Everyone enjoyed visiting and
renewing friendships.
Visitors from a distance were
Dorothy McTaggart from Santa
Monica, California, Mr. and Mrs.
Alex McNabb, Oregon, Mr. artd
Mrs. Earl McTaggart. and Mr.
and Mrs. Neil McTaggart from
Weyburn , Saskatchewan.
Other guests were from
Scarborough, Peterborough,
Galt, Delaware, Port Franks,
Goderich, Hanover, Brussels,
Walton and Brodhagen.
Voice for
Life meets
On June 22 an executive
meeting of Voice for Life
Wingham was held at the home of
Mrs. Gordon Wright.
Some of the topics of discussion
included the possibility of
purchasing some new slides and
also of organizing a Nurses'
Pro. Life group. The groups name
is now legally changed to "Voice
for Life, Wingham (affiliated with
Alliance for Life, of Canada)."
Mrs. Sally' Campeau,
Education Chairman, gave a
report on the risks and
complications of abortion.
Rodeo coming
