Two killed in arctcident

The annual Awaids Night for
the Minor Hockey erganilation
will be held again this year: in the
Legion Auditorium. This will be
the final wrapup for the 1975-76
hockey season. ".
Players and parents are invited
to attend the evening which will
be held on Saturday night June 5
at 8 p.m. Guest speaker, for the
`evening will be Les Bradley,
trainer of the Junior A Kitchener
Rangers. Representatives of the
.W.O.A.A, will be on hand also to
present the Consolation trophies
to the local teams which - won
theth. We'll be looking for all the
players to be present for the
ocasion,

Recent investigations carried
out by the OPP of Wingharn
Detachment included;
Fifty-one charges were laid
under the Highway Traffic Act
and thirty-one warnings were
issued.
Two charges were laid under
the Liquor Licence Act.
- During the week, there were
four. Motor Vehicle Collisons
which caused an estimated
$12,000.00 in Property Damnage
and two people were killed. Three
people received injuries as a
result of accidents. -
On Tuesday, May 18, Donald
A: McLennaghan of R.R.23 Blyth
and Th omas E. Darrant of R.R.3,
Brussels were involved in a
collision on concession 11-12, east
of Sideroad 20-21, Grey
Township. Injured as a result of
the 'collision were Th omas E.
Durrant and Gloria Durrant.
On Saturday, May 22, two
people were killed in .a single, car
accident on Concession 10-11 east
of Highway 4,. • Turnberry
Township; Donald Schiestel of
Teeswater and Herbert Kenyon of
R.R.4, Wingham, Ontario. Robin
Water of R.R.3, Wingham was
injured, and is presently in
University Hospital, London in
serious condition.
On Saturday, May 22, Beverley
Anne Irving was involved in a
single car accident on Concession
5, west of Highway 4, East
Wawanosh. Township and was
inju red as a result of the
accident.
During the week May 24-30,
officers- at . Wingham
Detachment O.P.P. conducted
the following investigations.
Forty-five charges were laid
under the Highway Traffic Act
and twenty-seven warning
issued..
Four 'charges were laid under
the Liquor License Act.
Tow charges were laid under
the Criminal Code of Canada.
During the • week, there were
three motor vehicle collisions
which caused an estimated
$3100.00 in property damage and
injuries to one person.
On Monday, May 24, Murray
G. Armstrong of R.R.1,Ethel,
Ontario was injured in a single 'car
accident on Concession 7-8, east
of Sideroad 14-15, Grey
Township.
