Society met Monday, May 17 in
the public library when 14
members and 4 guests were
present:
Mrs., F. Dunk presided and
Mrs. E. Cunningham
'accoMpaiiied at the piano. The
roll call to bring a' plant whiCh
was auctioned. netted $10.10.
MrsDunk and Mrs. A. McCall
reported on the district con-
vention at Seaforth. District 8 are
co-hosts with district 7 in hosting
the Ontario Convention in
Waterloo June 17 18 - 19th,
On June 17 Brussels has been
asked to bring 10 dozen cookies
for a coffee break, Other costs
include a five dollar gift and
$15.00 to help with expenses.
The July Rose Show .was
discussed and members are asked
to have their roses at Mrs.Dunks:
by 2 o'clock. Seaforth and Blyth
societies are to be asked.
Mrs. E. Cunningham gave a
humorous reading "Remedies for
an Ailing Garden" and.Mrs. Stan
Alexander showed a travelogue.
Mrs. F. Dunk 'thanked her and.
presented a gift. Mrs. K. Danby
won the door prize. The collection
was $3.40.
Lunch was served by Mrs. John
Kelly, Mrs. John Speir , Mrs. V.
Tunney andMiss Laura Lucas.
