Those applying for a tile drain
loan will have to wait until April
1977 as the allotment of
$10,000 for this year has already
been apportioned.
Huron
disabled
group
meets
Last week HuronCounty's
new organization for the disabled
met in the Holmesville Public,
School Library. Guests included
Jim Hunsberger, community
development office it with
ALPHA London (Action League .
of Physically Handicapped
Adults) and Margaret Elliott,
regional supervisor with the
March of Dimes when Huron's
new group for the disabled met in
Holmesville last week. Both Mr.
Hunsberger and Mrs.. Elliott
congratulated the fledgling group
on its endeavours and asked the
members to consider becoming
the Huron County. Advisory
Committee to the Ontario M arch
of Dime's.
Several members reported that
individuals as well as some local
clubs have expressed support for
the group's activities. For
example, the I.O.D.E. Maple
Leaf Chapter in Goderich sent a
letter to the Goderich Town
Council in support of the brief
presented recently to the council
by the Huron organization.
The next meeting is shceduled
for Tuesday, May 25 at 8 P.M. in
the Holmesville Public School
Library. Everyone is welcome.
